In the neighboring town of Adonis, he learns that long ago, a man named Argos sealed a great evil using five seals throughout various dungeons, and that recently, the seals are beginning to weaken. The rest of the townsfolk start treating Regret coldly, and an unfortunate misunderstanding involving a tree kicks off Regret's journey. One day a demon appears in the town and Pardon attempts to fight it off but is killed. Years later, Dupre, now known as Pardon, lives in the town of Ayles with his son. After Dupre finds the child, he resigns from the Holy Knights to raise him, bringing suspicion among his colleagues. The first Zenonia follows the story of Regret, a child found by the Holy Knights commander Dupre in the midst of war. It allows the player to select classes, which are different between games. Zenonia is an action RPG series by Gamevil for the iOS and Android (with the first one available on DSiWare and as a PlayStation mini, as well). PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples.Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted.Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed.Still, this is an immensely fun action-RPG, and fans of the genre won’t really have much to complain about if they add this to their iPhone’s game library. That’s not a bad thing, but it means that things don’t feel nearly as innovative and fun as they once did. Instead, it feels like the same gameplay dressed in a new story. Also, these moments serve as a rather stunning interruption to what’s normally frantic gameplay not to mention that things are all the more jarring thanks to the spotty translation and somewhat dull story.Ĭompared to its prequels, Zenonia 3 doesn’t exactly feel like a step forward. The characters’ dialogue is over-dramatic and a little hammy this would be fine to read through in short bursts, but there are times where players will spend over five minutes reading about what’s going on (unless they decide to skip the cut scenes and be left utterly confused about the story). Now, the obligatory exposition gets old pretty quick, but mainly because there’s just so much of it. Needless to say, it’s still a thrill for anyone who grew up playing RPGs on 8-and-16-Bit systems. Things look bright and crisp, and the top-down animation is decidedly old school. Things look they’re pulled straight from the Super Nintendo era of the Final Fantasy games. On top of that, combat can sometimes feel really frustrating, since enemies re-spawn really quickly occasionally, there isn’t enough time to completely clear an area of enemies before they start reappearing.Īlso worth mentioning are the graphics. It should be noted, though, that the button mashing sometimes gets a little dull, especially when grinding through an area to gain experience in order to level up. Combat is filled with button mashing, there are a number of slots to fill with items for quick access, and there’s several dozens of hours of gameplay to experience. While it’s simple, it doesn’t mean that it’s slow-paced or without depth, either. Players move Chael with a D-pad, while the action is handled via the solitary attack button on the screen. Anyone who’s played the previous Zenonia games will feel right at home with Zenonia 3.
